ECOTOURISM - VISIT TO THE HACIENDA LA MENSURA
About 8 kilometers from the Villa you have a chance to observe and photograph exotic animals such as deer, black antelopes and wapitis, and rent horses to fully appreciate the generosity of nature in creating scenery of such enormous beauty and the mix of colors of the sun and nature. On the way, you can see dairy farms, Pinus Cubencis plantations, nurseries and coffee plantations, as well as huge meadows.
ECOTOURISM - VISIT TO SALTO DEL GUAYABO
Surrounded by a wonderful natural environment with thick vegetation, the indigenous fauna of the region, and an observation area for the waterfall at 480 meters above sea level from which you can see the landscape and journey 1,200 m along the rocky bed of the river of the same name until you reach a rest area where you can enjoy a refreshing swim.
ECOTOURISM - LA SABINA TRAIL
In the southern part of the Mountain Research Center, 1 km from the Villa, the path consists of eight natural ecosystems characterized by their diversity and biological fragility, and there is also a beautiful orchid area with the majority of the existing species in the region. The tropical forest is the most important ecosystem since it is a natural and historical relic formed by the original vegetation of the sub-region and containing the oldest tree in the park, an Ocuje Colorado which is estimated to be approximately 150 years old and the “Arbol de la Traición” (Tree of Betrayal), among other varieties of flora.
ECOTOURISM - LA POZA DE RAFAEL
Known for its privileged location in the mountains, in a very wooded area bathed by the Piloto River, with refreshing waters and a peaceful and beautiful natural environment. Here you have a chance to enjoy a pleasant swim and take photos in a lush landscape of its flora and birdlife.
