INTERNATIONAL NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
The 10th Edition of the International Digital Nature Photography Competition 2022 will be held from 12-17 September in Protected Natural Landscape called Topes de Collantes, which covers an area of more than twenty thousand hectares in the provinces of Villa Clara, Cienfuegos and Sancti Spíritus, with elevations ranging from 250 to 900 meters above the sea level.
Participation is open to anyone who wishes to take part, whether they are professionals or amateurs. Participation includes guide service, overnight stay in Havana, transport, accommodation and food for 5 days at the Hotel los Helechos.
The last edition of this event took place in the first days of November 2021, with a total of 82 participants.
A total of 19 photographs were awarded prizes in the 4 usual categories of the competition.
The competition will be held in the following CATEGORIES:
LANDSCAPE: Natural environment that has not been substantially altered by man, or that persists despite human intervention.
FLORA AND FAUNA: Plants and animals in their natural environment, highlighting the behavior of the species and particular characteristics.
MAN AND NATURE: Images that illustrate both the care of the environment and the problems caused by pollution. In general, the life and work of man in these natural contexts may also be the subject of the snapshots.
MACRO-PHOTOGRAPHY: This name commonly refers to the type of photographic image that is taken very close to the object in question.
IDENTIFICATION OF WORKS:
The entrant shall change the name assigned to the works by his/her camera as exemplified below:
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PHOTOS:
Photos must be uploaded in JPEG format not exceeding 500 KB. The dimensions of the larger side of the photo must be at least 2000 px; and the cropping ratios 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 3:4, 1:1 and 16:9 (digital panoramas).
The photo may not be stamped with watermarks or date, no added frames, borders or captions.
COPYRIGHT:
All images in competition, whether awarded or not, may be used by Grupo de Turismo Gaviota, S.A. in the dissemination of its products and services, acknowledging the author's credit. The images in competition or awarded will not be in any way commercialized by Grupo de Turismo Gaviota, S.A. without prior agreement with the author.
